Music salon in Vienna
On Thursday, May 7th at 19:00 pm, we invite you, together with the Austrian National Library, to " How do we hear?" – an extraordinary musical experiment at Palais Mollard in Vienna.
The concert evening is part of violinist Judith Fliedl 's artistic-scientific research project at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and is conceived as an experiment in which a new work is created in collaboration with composer Gerd Kühr and the Carinthian Summer Festival , and tested step by step. The audience is not merely a listener, but is also involved in listening experiments, discussions, and reflections, with perceptions, memories, and emotional responses directly contributing to the further development of the piece and simultaneously determining the selection of other contemporary musical works that accompany this process. This creates a moment of exchange in which sound and shared experience are renegotiated. The experiment culminates in the world premiere of the work on August 1, 2026, as part of our event " Favorite Piece – What Excites Us."
