Recently, the Kleine Zeitung asked me what we in Carinthia will need in 2025. I gave an answer that actually applies not only to Carinthia, but to all of us:
Sometimes we forget that within us lies a garden longing to bloom, our soul's garden. Water it with music, plant books, delight in the dancing thoughts in the wind, create paths to discover ever-new perspectives, and open the gate to reflect the beauty of your garden back to those around you.
I believe that now more than ever we need music and literature, which are always a light within us. Because if it is dark inside, then no light can shine outwards to illuminate our path.
Music and literature open our inner selves and stimulate thought. In this way, we may also be better able to maintain dialogue and develop a strong sense of community, a mutual support system.
As promised, you as a newsletter subscriber would be the first to hear all the news. Today I can tell you that starting tomorrow, tickets for two festival highlights will go on sale:
the reading with Joachim Meyerhoff on July 7th and the traditional piano recital by our honorary member, Rudolf Buchbinder, on July 19th.
Have fun securing the best seats!
With this in mind, I wish you all the best for a fulfilling new year, and I hope we will see each other very often at the Carinthian Summer Festival! We look forward to seeing you!
