Award for Claire Huangci
We congratulate pianist Claire Huangci on receiving the Diapason d'Or – the “Golden Tuning Fork”, one of the most prestigious awards for classical music in France.
She has been a guest at the Carinthian Summer Festival for the past two years, performing in both the opening and closing concerts. Anyone who has seen her perform knows that she is not just an exceptionally virtuosic pianist, but an artist with the finest sensitivity, depth, courage, and impressive musical intelligence. We are therefore all the more delighted to welcome Claire Huangci back to Carinthia in 2026.
Am Sunday, July 19th, at 11:00 am in Ossiach She is organizing a matinee entirely dedicated to her American homeland. Under the title Pictures in Blue May we look forward to George Gershwin's legendary Rhapsody in Blue We can also look forward to music by Samuel Barber as well as works by the great composers Amy Beach and Florence Price, which were also played at this year's New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.
