Mysterious intimacy, grown from the energy of rock and metal, combines with dynamics and the urgency of classical music.
Eviga, Guitar & Vocals
What is it that makes people come from the most remote parts of Europe, from the Far East, from South and North America, to make pilgrimages to caves and churches for a single concert? The Austrian black metal band Dornenreich, founded in 1996, achieves this with their music, which makes every concert an unforgettable experience.
At the Carinthian Summer 2022, Dornenreich will play a world-exclusive acoustic concert. The duo, consisting of singer and guitarist Eviga and violinist Inve, leads through Dornenreich’s 26-year history with a special arc of tension. The dynamic play, subtle nuances and intensity, which is particularly important for the band’s music, lends an additional level of depth and authenticity the acoustic arrangements of their songs.
The constant consideration and discovery of new approaches makes Dornenreich a musical experience that does not wish to ascribe itself to any style, but is equally inspired by classical music and jazz as it is by rock and heavy metal – no other band on this planet sounds like they do.
