A queen from West Africa

A captivating voice and a compelling personality: West African singer-songwriter Senny Camara will be performing in Carinthia for the first time with her band. Senny Camara fell in love with the kora, a traditional West African harp that was then exclusively reserved for men, at the age of seven. Growing up in Senegal with her grandmother, she was exposed to the musical roots of her culture from an early age. Nevertheless, it would be years before she had the opportunity to actually learn her dream instrument. Today, she is a virtuoso on her instrument and is considered a rising star of the international African music scene.
