Avi Avital is a versatile and visionary mandolinist. Having discovered his passion at the age of eight in the mandolin orchestra of his native Israel, Avital has brought the mandolin to the world's great concert halls. His repertoire ranges from Baroque music to modern chansons and jazz, all the way to world music. The program he presents with the Basel Chamber Orchestra offers a fascinating journey through the world of the mandolin.
