Marimba, mon amour

Trio SR9

Thu, July 16
19:30 Alban Berg Concert Hall, Ossiach
€55/€45

The name of the trio SR9 seems more fitting for a star in a distant galaxy than for a percussion trio. However, what the three Frenchmen Paul Changarnier, Nicolas Cousin, and Alexandre Esperet create with their marimbas, vibraphones, and other percussion instruments truly sounds otherworldly. They fell in love with the marimba while studying together at the Lyon Conservatory. Their program for the Carinthian Summer Festival spans from Baroque to contemporary music.
