Mephisto's keyboard magic

Adela Liculescu, Paul Sonderegger

Sat, Aug 1
19:30 Alban Berg Concert Hall, Ossiach

A great admirer of Goethe's Faust , Franz Liszt identified himself with both Faust and Mephistopheles in one person. He explored this theme in many of his compositions and piano arrangements. The young Romanian pianist Adela Liculescu, who will also perform with the Philharmonic Five at the Carinthian Summer Festival, is a true expert on these works. With boundless joy in playing, breathtaking virtuosity, and delicate poetic sensitivity, she takes her listeners on a journey through the cosmos of Liszt's keyboard magic. She will be accompanied by the recitations of Paul Sonderegger, who captivated audiences at the Drumherumhören festival last year.
