Ö1 Culture Picnic

Music, literature, dance, art, and a great atmosphere! The Ö1 Culture Picnic is a festival for the whole family. The day begins with a festive mass in the abbey church, which will be broadcast live on ORF III.

The Ossiach Trombone Choir welcomes all guests to the abbey. From chamber music with the RaSumOvsky Ensemble to singer-songwriter Anna Anderluh and OSKA, from contemporary folk music with the Diatonic Expeditions to jazz pianist Martin Listabarth: the talent pool of the NASOM program (funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs) shares the stage at Ossiach Abbey with Philharmonic musician Lara Kusztrich and her precious violin (funded by the Austrian National Bank). Bertl Mütter explores the church space with his trombone, listening and tapping on its interior, listening to what it has to tell him. The wonderful actress Petra Morzé reads new literature by Anna Baar and Maja Haderlap. Both authors will discuss their latest publications. Children can try out musical instruments, have their faces painted, or watch cool young graffiti artists in action. There will be children's dance performances, the Ensemble Porcia's mobile theater will be there, and the Toihaus Children's Theater from Salzburg will present its play "Spieltöne" (Playful Tones). A fine program awaits you in the abbey church with soprano Maria Ladurner and organist Wolfgang Kogert.

Listen to music and create your own sounds, discuss literature, grab a picnic basket and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere by the lake. Join the celebration!
