Encounters in sound: dance, language and communal singing

An evening celebrating togetherness – that was the concert of our Austro-Syrian All Stars Band in the Bamberg Hall in Villach. The musicians had the sold-out hall dancing and showed that we have much more in common than what divides us ✨
Basma Jabr, Salah Ammo, Maias Alyamani, Orwa Saleh, Victoria Kirilova, Bernhard Schimpelsberger and Mahan Mirarab played.

In Ossiach, Christian Muthspiel and the Orjazztra Vienna delighted the audience – here too there was a sold-out hall, enthusiastic faces and standing ovations.
“From Jandl to Ernst” was composed by Muthspiel on the occasion of Ernst Jandl’s 100th birthday and creates the illusion of a joint live performance with the poet, whose voice extracted from various recordings acts as the main soloist ✨

Star pianist Gabriela Montero performed works by Chopin, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky at the Villach Congress Center. Afterwards, she improvised on Carinthian folk songs sung by the Carinthian State Youth Choir. Our audience also showcased their musical talent by joining in the singing ✨
