Europe! Europe?
Yesterday, the award-winning writer Robert Menasse and writer, historian and radio presenter Philipp Blom were our guests at the Domenig Steinhaus in Steindorf.
In a reading and discussion, they spoke about their visions and their recently published books.
In 'The Capital' and 'The Expansion', Robert Menasse explores the theme of "Europe". These are the first volumes of his planned Europe trilogy.
Philipp Blom's books 'The Vertigo Years' and 'Evil Philosophers: A Salon in Paris and the Forgotten Legacy of the Enlightenment' deal with crystallization points of European history in the early 20th and 18th centuries.
It was a very stimulating and interesting evening!
Due to the beautiful weather, the garden could even be opened and visitors could enjoy the reading outdoors, which had already been sold out in advance!
