Philharmonic Five
From Hollywood with love – A dazzling cinematic journey
That was the title of yesterday's concert by the Philharmonic Five, an ensemble consisting of four soloists from the ranks of the Vienna Philharmonic and an exceptional pianist: Tibor Kováč and Lara Kusztrich on the violins, Elmar Landerer on the viola, Edison Pashko on the cello and Adela Liculescu on the piano.
The brilliant ensemble played film music in rousing arrangements, including Romeo and Juliet from Caligula, My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music, the main theme from Pink Panther, and many more.
